Cape Girardeau, Mo. – The Tennessee State Tigerbelles earned six medals on the final day of the Ohio Valley Conference Championships finishing in  fifth-place (81.5 points).

  • Mikayla Thompson earned her second medal of the championships in shot put with a 13.84m (45’5”), placing her third of 18 competitors.
  • The Tigerbelle relay teams both took home silver medals:
    • In the 4x100, Gabrielle Younginer, Amber McCroskey, Kyla Jimmar and Lakeia Hill put together a time of 46.86.
    • Grenetria Shell, Amber McCroskey, Zion White and Lakeia Hill completed the 4x400 in 3:52.62, earning the team second place among 10 teams.
  • Senior Lakeia Hill added a bronze to her collection with a third place 1:01.87 time in the 400 meter hurdles.
  • Tennessee State dominated in the 100 meter hurdles taking two of the three medals. Nigeria Starks finished in 14.05 to place second, while Grenetria Shell earned bronze with a 14.39 time.
