Tigerbelles Run at APSU Invitational


CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. --- Individuals from the Tennessee State women’s track and field team competed in the APSU Invitational at Fortera Stadium.

Kayla Pryor (Ellenwood, Ga.) won the 400m hurdles, clocking in at 1:03.00, while Alexia King (Atlanta, Ga.) also shined in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:07.10 for fifth place.

In the 200m, Kyla Jimmar (Chicago, Ill.) and Tiffany Barnes (Atlanta, Ga.) secured sixth and seventh with times of 24.85 and 25.05, respectively. Jimmar also took fourth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.52.

With a 400m time of 58.11, Mikayla Banks (Houston, Texas) picked up a fifth-place finish on the day.

Next up for the Tigerbelles is the Georgia Tech Invite on April 21-22 in Atlanta, Ga.
