Tiger Tennis Drops Match Against North Alabama

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. --- The Tennessee State women’s team traveled to Huntsville, Ala. to compete against the North Alabama Lions on Jan. 30. The match took place at the indoor facility of Athletic Club Alabama at 12:30 p.m. and lasted till 3 p.m. The Lions took home the win for North Alabama, 5-2, leaving the Tigers with a 1-3 record.

During doubles, the Tigers fell to the Lions 0-3, awarding the doubles point to North Alabama. Senior Ashia Jones won her singles match 6-3, 6-0 against North Alabama’s Nicole Reilly. Aarushi Kakkar fought hard against Nina Linke and won the match, 7-6, 3-6, 10-4. All other single matches were won by UNA.

UP NEXT: The Tigers will host IUPUI at Hadley Park Tennis Center on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 10 a.m.
