Women's Tennis Pulls Out a Win Over WCU

NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State women's team won it's match against the Western Carolina Catamounts on Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. The three hour long match was hard fought by the Tigers. The final score of 4-3 consisted of TSU's double point and three singles wins.

Aarushi Kakkar has proved to be force in not only singles but doubles, as well. Kakkar and Mackenzie Beckham won the doubles point for Tennessee State, 6-2. In singles, Kakkar won her match in a tie breaker of 6-2 and Claudia Sole defeated her opponet from WCU in a tie breaker, 7-5.

Up Next: The women's tennis team will travel to Huntsville, Ala. on Jan. 30 to compete against North Alabama at 1 p.m.
