STARTING SERVE: The Tennessee State Tigers women's tennis team will travel to Huntsville, Alabama to take on the Alabama A&M Bulldogs in a midweek matchup Tuesday, March 27 at 11 a.m.

LAST TIME OUT: TSU fell 4-3 to SEMO Friday afternoon at Hadley Park. In its OVC home opener the Tigers had an upper hand on the Redhawks aftter winning two doubles matches to clinch the point. Duo Morgan Cage and Ashia Jones took their first doubles victory at No. 1, 6-4.

Every singles match for the Tigers was a battle. Only two came out on top, with Abhilasha Vishwanath winning by retirement in her tiebreaker set, and Pragati Natraj clinching a victory at No. 6, 6-2, 6-4.

SCOUTING ALABAMA A&M: A&M who's had a tough preseason is sitting on a 3-6 record, with one 7-0 loss to Auburn who is number six in the Southeastern Conference. In its last match, the Bulldogs suffered a 7-0 loss to in-state rival UAB. AAMU has players in the top five of the conference at No. 1 and No. 2. Last year, TSU edged out the Bulldogs 5-2, and with six newcomers, it looks like the Tigers have a chance to repeat. The blue and white will be the Bulldogs' first home match of the spring season.

UP NEXT: Big Blue is set to host Bethel-TN Thursday, March 29 at the Currey Tennis Complex. First serve will be at 11 a.m.
