STARTING SERVE: The Tennessee State women's tennis team will host Southeast Missouri and UT Martin in its Ohio Valley Conference home opening weekend at Hadley Park. The Tigers will take on SEMO Friday, March 23 at 2 p.m. and UT Martin, the following morning at 9 a.m.  

LAST TIME OUT: Big Blue ended its homestand with a trip to Clarksville, Tennessee and Murray, Kentucky. The Tigers came away 0-2 last weekend, dropping its match against Austin Peay, 5-2 and the same to Murray State, 4-3. 

Junior Pragati Natraj remained undefeated in singles and contributed one doubles win over the Govs with partner Ani Popiashvili, 6-0. After a tough weekend, the Tigers returned home with a week to prepare for its next opponents. 

SCOUTING SEMO: SEMO failed to pull out a win over Eastern Kentucky in its OVC home opener at the Redhawks Tennis Complex last weekend. SEMO dropped the match 6-1, with Oleksandra Doroshenko notching victories in doubles and singles play. Doroshenko plays at No. 1 for the Redhawks, and is 6-4 overall this spring. Last season, the Redhawks defeated Big Blue 5-2 at SEMO. 

UP NEXT: TSU will host Bethel-TN on Thursday, March 29, then hit the road for the near five-hour drive to play SIUE and Eastern Illinois.
