Tigers Slip Up Against SIUE

NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State women’s tennis team fell to SIUE on Friday afternoon by a 6-1 score. Pragati Natraj scored the only point for TSU in the match.

“The ladies are continuing to fight hard,” TSU Head Coach Monroe Walker III said. “We played a lot better in doubles today. We are figuring out how to play better. Pragati got our lone victory today. She is playing really smart and great. Ani fought hard and is giving it her all at one. We have another chance tomorrow to play well and fight hard. Looking forward to competing tomorrow.”

TSU (6-5, 0-5 OVC) trailed as SIUE (14-0, 4-0 OVC) took the doubles point. Natraj’s singles victory came in straight sets by scores of 6-4, 6-2.

The Tigers will play Eastern Illinois tomorrow morning at 10 am..
