Tigers Fall in First OVC Match

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee State women’s tennis team fell 5-0 to Eastern Illinois University for its first conference match of the season at the APSU Indoor Tennis Center on Friday.

The Panthers (6-3, 1-0 OVC) held the Tigers (0-2, 0-1 OVC) without a point in all matchups.

Attallah Eiland was the first to finish, falling 6-0, 6-0 to EIU’s Ali Foster. Phyllicia Hemphill fell in straight sets to Grace Summers after the Tigers fourth player, Britney Harris was downed by Hannah Kimbrough.

The Panthers’ Sephora Boulbahaeim defeated Adrianne Presley in the day’s final match.

TSU will next face SIUE on Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
