Women's Tennis Closes Season on the Road

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee State women’s tennis team closed its season with losses at Belmont, 6-0, and at Southeast Missouri, 7-0.

On Thursday, the threat of inclement weather caused the doubles matches to be bypassed against the Bruins.

Adrianne Presley provided the highlights for TSU, but she was eventually downed, 6-2, 6-3. Phyllicia Hemphill also won a game, but fell in the end, 6-0, 6-1.

In the season finale against the Redhawks, Sunday, Hemphill was solid again, but suffered the same result, this time, 6-1, 6-2.

The team of Presley and Brittany Hill were the sole TSU doubles pair to earn a point (8-1) and then followed that with, 6-1, sets in individuals.

TSU closed the year, 0-15.
