TSU Tennis Ends Year on the Road

The Tennessee State women's tennis team dropped their final two contests of the 2013 season this past weekend losing 4-2 at Southeast Missouri State on Saturday and dropping a 6-0 decision at UT-Martin on Sunday.

The Tigers picked up a pair of points against SEMO in singles action as Kryston Mason took care of Sarah Uptmor in straight sets 6-2, 6-1 at #3 Singles. London Thomas at #4 Singles picked up the second point of the day for TSU as the sophomore defeated Lauren Schaper 6-2 in set one. Schaper retired in set two after Thomas was up 2-0.

Mason and Thomas battled their singles opponents Schaper and Uptmor in #2 Doubles. The Tigers nearly pulled off the victory, but SEMO duo edged TSU 9-8.

On Sunday, UT-Martin ended the Tigers season winning all four singles matches in straight sets. TSU ends the season with an 0-18 record, 0-10 in the OVC.
