Women's Tennis Falls 7-0 at Morehead and EKU

The Tennessee State women's tennis team drops to 0-4 on the season and 0-4 in the Ohio Valley Conference with back-to-back losses at Morehead State and Eastern Kentucky.

At Morehead State (3/19), TSU failed to win a point in singles with every player being blanked 6-0 in their matches.In doubles, the team of Meagan Haynes and Penelope Johnson managed two points in their 8-2 loss at #1. the teams of Stewart/Mason and Coleman/Knight were blanked 8-0 in two and three respectively.

At Eastern Kentucky (3/20), Meagan Haynes dropped #1 singles 6-3, 6-0. Lia Stewart and Penelope Johnson lost 6-1, 6-1 each at #2 and #3 respectively. Kryston Mason fell 6-0, 6-1 at #4 with Cherrelle and Lezlie Knight getting blanked 6-0, 6-0 at #5 and #6. In doubles, all teams lost 8-0.

The TSU women will return to action on Saturday, March 27th when they host Jacksonville State at 1:30p on the Tiger Courts in Nashville.
