Women's Tennis Head to UT Martin for OVC Play

Tiger Tennis will look for their first win of the season against UT Martin

Nashville, Tenn. – The Tennessee State University women's tennis team will travel to Martin, Tenn. to face UT Martin in conference play at the Skyhawks Tennis Courts, Sunday, March 15th, with a 1 p.m. start.

The Tigers are still in search of their first win of the season posting a 0-3 overall record, 0-2 in the Ohio Valley Conference. The women are led by number one seed Meagan Haynes (0-3) and senior Dania Lofton (1-2) while coming off a 7-0 loss to Murray State last Thursday.  

UTM women's team (5-4, 1-0 OVC) snapped a two-game losing streak with a 4-3 win over Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Fla. on March 10th. They are led by Ernestine Koornhof (4-4) and are 24-29 (.453) overall in singles competition with a .654 (17-9) average in doubles competition.

Next up, TSU will host Western Kentucky in non conference play on Friday, March 20th. Match time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
