2019-20 Women's Golf Year in Review

  • The 2019-20 Tennessee State Women’s Golf team had its season cut short due to the cancellation of the season per the NCAA.
  • The Tigers competed in four events in the fall and was two days away from beginning the spring season.

Sophomore, Trinidy Pate

  • Cut a little over one stroke from freshman avearge
  • Posted a season best 84 three times on the season
  • The first came during the second round of the Chris Banister Golf Classic (10/7)
  • The final two came during the first and second rounds of the TSU Town & Country Invitational (10/28-29)
  • Posted a career best 263 for a 54-hole tournament at the Chris Banister Golf Classic (10/7-8)
  • Fired a season best 36-Hole Tournament of 168 at the Town & Country Invitational (10/15-17)

Sophomore, Kalee Rhodes

  • Cut over two strokes from her freshman campaign
  • Earned Ohio Valley Conference Women's Golfer of the Week on Oct. 23
  • Posted a season best 80 on two occasions, the first came at the Braun Intercollegiate (10/21)
  • The 16th place finish at the Braun Intercollegiate marked the best finish through the first two seasons of competition
  • Shot an 80 during the second round of the TSU Town & Country Invitational (10/29)
  • Scored a season low at a 36-Hole Tournament of 162 at the Town & Country Invitational (10/28-29)
  • Tallied a 257 at a 54-Hole Tournament twice
  • The first came at the MSU Greenbrier Invitational (9/16-17) and the second at the Chris Banister Golf Classic (10/7-8)

Senior, Haleigh Riley

  • Fired a season best 82 during both rounds of the TSU Town & Country Invitational (10/28-29)
  • Carded a season low 164 for a 36-Hole tournament at the Town & Country Invitational
  • Posted a 54-Hole Tournament best of 275 at the Chris Banister (10/7-8)

Senior, Morgan Rood

  • Matched the TSU single round and 36-hole tournament records during the TSU Town & Country Invitational
  • Fired a 72 during the first round of the TSU Town & Country Invitational (10/28)
  • Finsihed with a 147 for the ywo round event
  • The result allowed her to gain the best tournament finish of her career at 16th
  • Registered a season best for a 54-Hole tournament with a 251 at the MSU Greenbrier Invitational (9/16-17)
  • Finished four strokes better than her junior aveargel at 81.9

Senior, Savannah Szozda

  • Cut two strokes from her junior season
  • Fired a season best 80 during the third round of the MSU Greenbrier Invitational (9/17)
  • Recorded a season low for a 36-hole tournament of 167 at the TSU Town & Country Invitational (10/28-29)
  • Shot a season best 255 for a 54-hole tournament at the MSU Grenbrier Invitational (9/16-17)
