CARBONDALE, Ill. --- Freshman Trinidy Pate bounced back after not scoring for Tennessee State a week ago to lead the way after day one of the Saluki Invitational. Pate fired a 13-over, 85, on Sunday afternoon and is tied for 48th in the field of 91 golfers.

Morgan Rood, Savannah Szozda and Kalee Rhodes each carded a 15-over, 87, to score for the Tigers on day one. Haleigh Riley rounded out the squads scoring with a non-countable 95.

As a team, the Tigers are tied with Maryville for 10th out of 14 with a 346. TSU holds a two stroke lead over Ohio Valley Conference rival Eastern Illinois heading into the final day.

Up Next: The Tigers will play the final round on Monday beginning at 9:00 a.m.
