NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State improved on day one’s record breaking round to close out the Town and Country Invitational. For the first time in program history all golfers carded a round in the 70’s, helping the Big Blue to a single round team record of 313 and a 36-round best 629. TSU needed just one day to better their 18-hole record by three strokes and exactly one year to smash their previous best 36-hole tournament by 17 strokes.

On the day, Dhani McDowell, Kalee Rhodes and Trinidy Pate each carded a 9-over, 79, snapping their career bests set on Monday. Haleigh Riley matched Rhodes at 79 to join Savannah Szozda’s 78 and Morgan Rood’s 77 to score for the Tigers on Tuesday.

Up Next: The Tigers will return to action on Mar. 17, 2019 at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate in Seveirville, Tenn. The three day event is hosted by Tennessee Tech.
