Women's Golf Opens Season at Drake Creek Invitational

NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State women’s golf team opens the 2016-17 season at the Drake Creek Invitational in Ledbetter, Ky. The Murray State hosted event will be played at the Par-72, 6,178 yard Drake Creek Golf Course on Sept. 12 and 13.

The teams will play 36 holes on Monday and one round of 18 on Tuesday. Both days will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.

Senior Natalie Spicer and sophomore Paige Harlin return and will be joined by three freshmen. Haleigh Riley, Morgan Rood and Savannah Szozda will make their Tiger debut.

The Tigers will face off against Akron, IPFW, Lipscomb, North Carolina A&T, Southern Illinois and Ohio Valley Conference opponents Austin Peay, Belmont, Morehead State and host, Murray State.
