Golf Competes at Jan Weaver-Murray State Invitational
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee State women’s golf team returns to the links looking to improve on their opening tournament of the season. The Tigers will play in the 54 hole, Jan Weaver - Murray State Invitational at the Par-72, 6,178 yard, Drake Creek Golf Club in Ledbetter, Ky.
A shotgun start is scheduled for 8:30am on both days with the first 36 holes to be played on Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday.
The Tigers will square off against five Ohio Valley Conference opponents in the field of 11 teams. Austin Peay, Belmont, Murray State, SIU Edwardsville, and Tennessee Tech from the OVC, along with Lipscomb, Northern Kentucky, Southern Illinois, Western Kentucky and Cumberland complete the field.
Juniors Laura Bremer, Amelia Dap, Kelly Merkel and Sarah Needleman will be joined by sophomore Natalie Spicer to form the five woman squad, while freshman Imani Stingley competes as an individual.
