Women's Golf to Host Lipscomb
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee State women’s golf team returns to action after an off-weekend as the host Lipscomb University in a dual match. The two teams of five, best four scoring, will play one, 18-hole, round at the Par-72, 6, 058 yard Harpeth Hills Golf Course on Friday. The first pairing’s will tee off at 12:00pm with the next groups teeing off 10 minutes apart.
Freshman Natalie Spicer will team-up with sophomores Kelly Merkel, Laura Bremer, Amelia Dap and Sarah Needleman in the head-to-head match. Lipscomb will counter with Sami Khan, Savanna Schubert, MacKenzy Carter, Sabrina Ferreri and Sarah McFarlin.
The Tigers look to improve on its ninth place finish two weeks ago at the SIUE Intercollegiate. Four golfers improved their score during the second round of play, including Spicer who cut seven strokes. Merkel chopped five strokes on her way to a team leading 84 on day two.
