MURRAY, KY. --- The Tennessee State women's golf team finished seventh in a nine- team field at Murray State's Big River Telephone Classic which concluded in cold conditions on Tuesday. The Lady Tigers had a couple of strong indiviudal efforts in the 36-hole event. Jessica Nemnich posted a 168 to finish in a tie for ninth place. Leslie Scarborough just missed a top 10 finish, shooting a 172 that placed her in a tie for 11th place. As a team, TSU shot a 744. Host Murray State won the event with a 649, 10 strokes ahead of the Kentucky JC squad. Other TSU scores were LaToya Moppins 194, Morgan Brown 217, and Mary Briggance 221. Rounding out the team scores were Rend Lake 693, Austin Peay 717, Dayton 721, IUPUI 737, TSU 744, Butler 759, and Saint Louis 763. TSU action will be later this month at the Butler Invitational in Indiana.
