HUNTSVILLE, Ala. --- The Tennessee State women's golf team won its first event in the brief history of the program by winning the Alabama A&M Golf Classic that concluded Tuesday. The Lady Tigers recorded a team total of 711 in the 36-hole tournament that was played in cold temperatures and high winds. Alabama State was second with a 771 and host Alabama A&M was a distant third. TSU is beginning its second spring season of NCAA competition. TSU was led by Leslie Scarborough's second place finish of 170 while Nikki Winn placed third (172) and Morgan Brown was fourth overall (178). ASU's Georgina Rolle was medalist with a 164. The event was place on the Huntsville Municipal Becky Pierce Golf Course.
