Cross Country Wraps Regular Season at Fast Cats Classic

MEN (8K) 9:00 a.m. | WOMEN (5K): 9:50 a.m.

STARTING LINE: Tennessee State cross country wraps its regular season with the Fast Cats Classic hosted by Kentucky Wesleyan in Owensboro, Kentucky, Saturday, Oct. 12. The men will run an 8K with the start time set for 9 a.m. followed by the women's 5K at 9:50 a.m. Results will be posted online following the race.

ABOUT THE TEAMS: Junior Flying Tiger Thomas Mosley finished top 20 at the Austin Peay Cross Country Festivalon Sept. 21. The Illinois native crossed the 5K finish line in 18:40.14 - a personal best, placing 17th overall. The Tigerbelles front runner Rebekah Wynn finished 17th at crossing the finish line in 19:38.92 – a personal best. Wynn’s finish helped the Tigerbelles finish third among Division I teams Saturday morning in Clarksville, Tennessee. Six-of-the-seven Tigerbelles marked the best times of the season.

THE FIELD: Fontbonne, Rose-Hulman, Findlay, Oakland City, Welch, Thomas More, Brescia, Kentucky Wesleyan, Centre, UK Running Club, Tennessee State, Austin Peay, Christian Brothers, Kaskaskia, Cumberland (Tenn.), Evansville, West Kentucky CC, Kennesaw State, Lincoln Memorial and Tiffin.  

UP NEXT: TSU heads to the Ohio Valley Conference Cross Country Championships Nov. 2 at SIUE's Cross Country Course in Edwardsville, Illinois.
