Wynn Leads the Tigerbelles at Belmont Opener

NASHVILLE, Tenn. ---
 Junior Rebekah Wynn posted the top time for the Tennessee State women’s cross country team on Friday at the Belmont Opener at Percy Warner Park. The Tigerbelles placed 10th overall with 312 points led by Wynn's 76th place finish in 23:47 in the 5K.

Junior Hope Haley turned in a time of 26:28 for 81st place with freshman Tori Roberts kicking off her career in blue and white with a time of 26:33 – good for 82nd overall.

Junior Elaina Verges crossed the finish line in 26:44 for 84th on the day with Nashville sophomore Kelsea Buchanan posting a time of 26:54 for 86th place.

The next action for TSU is the UTC Twilight Meet on Sept. 13 in Chattanooga, Tenn.
