Tigerbelles Earn Eighth at Austin Peay Cross Country Festival


CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tennessee State women's cross country team earned eighth place at the Austin Peay Cross Country Festival on Saturday morning at the Hillsdale Baptist Family Life Center.

With a time of 21:49 in the 5K, Christian Pryor (Ellenwood, Ga.) secured 47th place to lead the Tigerbelles on the day.  TSU scored 228 points overall to take eighth place. 

Kayla Pryor (Ellenwood, Ga.) clocked in at 21:54 to take 50th overall. Earning 53rd place was Jasmir Spearman (Atlanta, Ga.) in 22:16.

Alexia King (Atlanta, Ga.) placed fourth among TSU runners in 23:53, while Mikayla Banks (Houston, Texas) took fifth in 26:59.

The Tigerbelles return to action on Oct. 1 for the Louisville Sports Commission Sports Cross Country Classic.
