Richmond, Ky. - The Tennessee State University women's track and field team rounded out the regular outdoor season seizing five top-three finishes at the Eastern Kentucky Open of Friday (4/16).
Martinique Guice won the long jump with a mark of 18" 05.75 (5.63m) to record TSU's only first-place finish of the day. She picks up her seventh career win in the event during outdoor competition.
The 4x100m relay team and Daniecce Ward finished second overall. The 4x100m relay posted a time of 47.9 seconds and Ward cleared 4" 11.75 (1.52m). Ward also took third in the triple jump with a jump of 35" 06.75 (10.84m).
Gabrielle Todd lowered her time in the 400m (57.03 seconds) posting a career best finishing third in the event.
The Tigerbelles will take the week off before competing in the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championship. The meet is scheduled for April 30th - May 1st and will be hosted by Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, Tenn.
