Campbell Tabs Third Place in Shot Put 

University of South Carolina - Weems Baskin Relays Final Results 

Columbia, S.C. – The Tennessee State University Tigerbelles continued the outdoor season running their fastest times of the season in several events  at the Weems Baskins Relays hosted by the University of South Carolina in Coumbia, S.C. on Saturday.

The women's javelin, women's long jump, triple jump and 4x400 relay were canceled due to rain and lightning.

Tanesha Campbell picked up a third place finish in the shot put with a toss of 12.78 meters. The 4x100-meter relay team of Lanika Horn, Autumn White, Jacarra Dennis and Martinique Guice also finished third with their fastest time of the season running 48.70 seconds.

Guice also posted her fastest time of the season in the 100-meter dash finishing sixth overall running 12.33 seconds.

Rahab Kagaruki recorded her fastest clocking in the 800-meter dash and 1500-meter run.  In the 800-meter dash, she finished fifth overall with a 2:20.51 result and followed the performance running a 4:52.30 in the 1500-meter for sixth place overall.

The T'belles will compete in the Austin Peay Invitational next week (4/4/09) in Claksville, Tenn.
