NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State University women’s basketball student-athlete Taylor Roberts was selected to the Challenge in Music City All-Tournament team Sunday night.
Roberts, a 5-10 forward from Oklahoma City, Okla., led Tennessee State in scoring each night and tallied 20+ points in each outing. She broke the tournament ‘s single game scoring record with 25 points vs Wisconsin and finished the three-day event with a total of 69 points.
In three games, she averaged 23.0 ppg, 5.7 rpg and 2.6 steals while shooting 45.1 percent from the field and 53.3 percent from three-point range.
The sophomore registered 23 points in the opening game against Arkansas before closing out the tournament with a 21-point performance versus Pittsburgh.
Through the first seven games of the season, Roberts is leading the Lady Tigers in scoring with 17.0 points per game.
