Lady Tigers Add Four to the Roster

NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State University head women’s basketball coach Jessica Kern announced the addition of four players to the Lady Tiger roster.

Transfers Lauren Elliott and Cebria Outlow will join incoming freshmen Taylor Williams and Andreana Wrister as the newest additions to the women’s basketball program. Per NCAA rules, Elliott and Outlow will not be eligible to compete until the 2018-19 season.

Lauren Elliot
Elliott transferred from Mississippi Valley State after competing for Lincoln Trail Junior College in Robinson, Ill. She averaged 10.0 points, 5.0 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game as a sophomore while shooting 50 percent from three-point range. At MSVU, Elliott played 16 games and started in 14 in her first year. She averaged 8.4 points per game in 28.2 minutes per outing. She tallied 31 steals and registered nearly two assists per contest.  She scored in all but two games and posted double figures six times.

Cebria Outlow
Outlow played in 29 games while making five starts and averaging 22.6 minutes per contest as a freshman at Central Connecticut State University. In her first season, she averaged 7.5 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. The Norwich, Conn. native was the fourth leading scorer on the team and tallied 217 total points. She posted double-digits in scoring eight times including a season-high 21 points vs St. Francis. (2/20/17).

Andreana Wrister
Wrister put up 13 points and 10 assists per game as a senior at Cordova HS. She also registered 3.0 rpg and 2.0 bpg during her senior campaign. She was named the Newcomer of the Year after her freshman season and earned All-District honors as a junior. She was named to the All-Tournament team during her junior year. In 2016-17, she was named the All-District and Athlete of the Year. She was a member of the honor roll all four years of high school.

Taylor Williams
Williams averaged 11.4 points per game, 4.2 rebounds per game, 3.1 assists per game and 2.3 steals per game during her junior year at White Station High School. She sat out her senior year due to injury. She was a member of the distinguished Honor Roll and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) member.
