Jones and Davis Named to Hatter Classic All-Tournament Team

DeLand, Fla. --- Tennessee State women’s basketball seniors Olivia Jones and I’mani Davis were named to the Hatter Classic All-Tournament team on Tuesday.

The two starters led TSU in scoring over the two-day event and helped the Lady Tigers go 2-0 in the tournament.

Jones earned MVP honors after averaging 17.5 points and 10.0 rebounds  while I’mani Davis registered 11.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in two games.

In the win over Bethune Cookman, Jones turned in a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds. She also had three steals in the contest. Davis posted 16 points and eight boards.

The Lady Tigers trailed by double-digits against Stetson but rallied from behind to claim the win. Jones and Davis were an integral part of that comeback. Jones tallied 17 points and eight rebounds while Davis chipped in seven points, seven rebounds and three steals in just 22 minutes of action.

Tennessee State was the only team to have two players on the All-Tournament team.
