Women?s Basketball Finalizes Season Schedule

2014-15 Schedule

NASHVILLE --- The 2014-15 women’s basketball schedule has been finalized, according to head coach Larry Inman.

The 27-game regular season schedule will feature two SEC and one ACC opponent in TSU’s non-conference competition.

An exhibition on Nov. 10 against Tennessee Temple will be the first action for Tennessee State before the Lady Tigers officially kick-off the 2014-15 campaign at North Carolina State, Nov. 14. The November slate will continue with match-ups against Kennesaw State, Lipscomb and Tennessee followed by the inaugural Teresa Phillips Thanksgiving Classic at the end of the month.

Non-conference action will carry on throughout the month of December with opponents from various leagues such as the Sunbelt, Atlantic Sun and Southland.

The Ohio Valley Conference schedule starts on Jan.3 against Southeast Missouri in the Gentry Center. The Lady Tigers will face OVC foe’s until the regular season concludes in February.

The 2015 OVC Women’s Basketball Championship will be held March 4-7 at the Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn.

Last season the Lady Tigers finished the season with a winning record in the Gentry Center (7-4) and in conference games (9-7) while mounting an impressive 6-2 mark in OVC contests at home. TSU returns 10 letterwinners on this year’s squad in addition to five newcomers.
