Chelsea Hudson Named BoxtoRow All-American
Tennessee State University women’s basketball forward Chelsea Hudson was named to the BoxtoRow All-American Second Team on Wednesday.

Throughout the season, Hudson was the leader for the Lady Tigers in scoring and rebounding. The redshirt senior finished the 2014-15 campaign averaging 14.2 points and 7.7 boards per outing. She was selected to the All-OVC Second team as well as the OVC All-Tournament team.

Hudson averaging 15.0 ppg and 7.0 rpg in three games to help TSU win the 2015 Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Championship, the program’s first title in 20 years.

A native of Midland, Texas, Hudson ranked among the OVC leaders in four categories: offensive rebounding (4th), overall rebounding (5th), scoring (10th) and defensive rebounding (11th). She scored 15 or more points 16 times during the season, including a season-high 23 points at Austin Peay and notched nine double-doubles on the season. She is ranked 10th among TSU’s All-Time leading scorers with 1,221 points.

At the conclusion of the inaugural Teresa Phillips Thanksgiving Classic, she was selected to the All-Tournament team.

Hudson, who played the entire season as a graduate student studying Elementary Education, garnered BoxtoRow National Player of the Week honors on March 2.
