Lady Tigers Close Out 2008 at Home Against Grambling

Nashville --- The Tennessee State University women's basketball team will match-up with visiting Grambling State University on Tuesday, Dec.30 in the Gentry Center at 2 p.m.

TSU returns to action for the first time in nearly two weeks with Tuesday night's contest.

This will be the 16th meeting between the two teams with Grambling (2-7) holding a 10-5 series lead. In the last meeting on Nov. 27, 1998, Grambling claimed a 78-69 victory. Tennessee State's (4-8) last win came in the 1994-95 season when TSU defeated GSU 83-81. 

The Lady Tigers are 2-0 at home this season and are led in scoring by Kendra Appling (17.5 ppg), Tiffany Jackson (16.5 ppg) and Jasmine Smith (16.0 ppg).
