NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State Lady Tigers built the big lead early and were able to roll past the visiting Memphis Express by an 82-46 score in women's college exhibition basketball action Friday night. The Lady Tigers led 37-18 at halftime and added to the lead throughout the second half. All nine Lady Tigers who played in the game scored and posted double figures in playing time. KaSheena Powe led the Lady Tigers with 20 points while Theresa Bowen scored 14 and Odessa Kelly added 13 points and dominated the boards with 20 rebounds, nine coming on the offensive end. The Lady Tigers doubled the visitors in the rebounding department, holding a 68-34 advantage. Tristin Johnson joined Kelly in double digits in the rebounding department with 13. The Lady Tigers open the regular season Nov. 23 at Belmont.
