CLARKSVILLE --- The Tennessee State women's basketball became the latest victim to a streaking Austin Peay women's team as the Lady Govs kept their Ohio Valley Conference unbeaten streak alive with a 93-45 win over the Lady Tigers Saturday night. The Lady Tigers, which had entered the game winners of two straight games before a narrow loss at second-place Eastern Kentucky Thursday, saw the Lady Govs explode to a 51-15 lead at intermission. The Lady Tigers were led by Aquanya McClain with 19 points while Tristin Johnson added 11. TSU shot 12-48 from the field for 25 percent. APSU held a 50-26 rebounding advantage. Austin Peay (19-3, 11-0) won for a school-record 14th consecutive time. The Lady Govs placed four players in double figures with Brooke Armistead and Paige Smith each scoring 17 points. TSU now stands 4-18 overall and 2-10 in the league. The Lady Tigers play their third consecutive and final road game of the regular season Thursday night at Murray State.
