LADY TIGERS NOTCH FIRST OVC VICTORY

NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State Lady Tigers earned their first Ohio Valley Conference victory of the season with a 78-70 win over Murray State Thursday night in the Gentry Center. The Lady Tigers got a stellar effort from Odessa Kelly who led the way with 22 points and 15 rebounds. Quanecia Fletcher added a career-high 17 points and LaToya Clay contributed 14 points. Guard Zekeya Anderson came off the bench to hand out nine assists. TSU (3-16, 1-8) led 32-28 at halftime and opened a double-digit lead in the second half. TSU shot 45 percent (29-64) from the field while holding Murray State to 37 percent (21-57) for the game. Murray State (5-14, 1-7) was led by Beth Schnakberg's 19 points. Lindsey Cornn scored 14. TSU hosts Tennessee-Martin Monday at 6 p.m.
