NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State basketball teams will make the journey to Morehead State for a basketball doubleheader Monday (Jan. 20) when they play the Eagles and Lady Eagles for the second time this season. The Lady Tigers will be facing the Lady Eagles for the second time within a two-week span while the men's team opened conference play on Jan. 2 against the Eagles, who have opened play with five straight wins. TSU will conclude their season series despite the fact that the Lady Tigers and Tigers have not met five other Ohio Valley Conference foes for the first time this season. The Lady Tigers led Morehead State early in the first meeting, but MSU bounced back for a 76-59 win. The Lady Tigers have been off from game action for nine days. The men's team will look for a much-improved defensive effort. Opponents have tallied 90 points against TSU in each of the past seven games. The first meeting was a nightmare for the Tigers as Morehead State rolled to a 93-42 win.
