Tiger Volleyball Adds Khalia Jordan to the 2018 Roster

NASHVILLE --- Head coach Donika Sutton and the Tennessee State volleyball program has announced its fifth student-athlete, Khalia Jordan (Chula Vista, Calif.), has signed to a National Letter of Intent.

“Khalia Jordan is our it factor. We recruited this kid hard. We know what she can do. She’s a six-rotation outside hitter. She’s extremely dynamic , very explosive, great and defense, moves really well and she has the leadership that we need. We’re looking to change our culture here, and she’s going to be one of those kids who can help us along the way.”

Khalia Jordan | 5-8 | Outside Hitter | JUCO Transfer | Chula Vista, Calif. | Grossmont College (Olympian HS)

  • As a sophomore at Grossmont, Jordan posted 176 kills, 23 service aces 
  • Led the Griffins with 181 digs, and ranked third on the team recording 36 blocks
  • Ammassed two kills, two service aces and a block in 16 sets as a freshman at Cal State Dominguez Hills 
  • Led her high school to consecutive CIF Championships in final two years as a prep under coach Steve Lamb
  • Earned 1st-team all-league as a junior, and 2nd-team all-league as a sophomore
  • Competed at Epic Volleyball Club in Poway, CA
