NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State volleyball team announced the dates of its free youth clinic for the 2018 spring semester. The program plans to host Feb. 5 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. and again March 5 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The volleyball clinic provides an environment to develop volleyball skills and fundamentals while providing an opportunity to showcase talent in a competitive environment. The mechanics and drills that are taught by Tiger volleyball coaches and student-athletes are the same used by Division I athletic programs across the nation.

“We use free clinics to reach out to and interact with the community during the offseason,” said head coach Donika Sutton. “The time the girls spend with the youth helps the student-athlete just as much as it helps the community. The team begins to understand the coaching side of the game, learn to work together and practice communication.”
