Volleyball to host a

Nashville ---The Tennessee State University Volleyball team will host a "Meet & Greet" on Tuesday, August 30, at 6:00 p.m. in the Faculty Dining Hall of the Floyd Payne Campus Center.

Students, faculty, staff, administration, and the TSU community are invited to come enjoy food, fun, and fellowship with the 2011 Tiger volleyball players and staff.

TSU s coming off a 2-1 showing at the Big Orange Bash this weekend. The Tigers defeated South Carolina State (3-0) in the season opener before falling to host Clemson on Saturday. TSU finished the tournament strong with a, 4-1,  win over Loyola (MD).

Shaquita Williams, who was named to the BOB All-Tournament team, led the Tiger offense with 40 kills and seven service aces. She hit .365 and only committed nine errors on 85 total attempts. Terakka Walker was also named to the All-Tournament team.

Following the "Meet & Greet" on Tuesday, the Tigers will prepare to compete at the Bear Brawl on Friday and Saturday, Sept.2-3. TSU will face Norfolk State, Troy State and tournament host Mercer.
