Getting to know freshman Jaime Cooper

Why did you choose Tennessee State?

I believe in blue.

How has your summer been preparing for your first season on the court with the Tigers?

I worked out at the YMCA bootcamp class, zumba, and one kickboxing class.

What are you looking forward to most this season?

Getting to know the girls and winning games.

What can Tiger fans expect to see from you on the court?

They can expect great defense and lots of cheering.

What do you do to get ready for a match?

I chew gum, it helps me focus.

What is your favorite volleyball moment of your career up to this point?

My senior year in high school we won our first state title.

What do you enjoy doing outside of volleyball?

I like to watch movies, hang with my friends and do little bit of shopping.

How have you spent your summer?

I spent most of my summer hanging with friends, working at the YMCA, and working out at the YMCA.

What is something unique about yourself that you can tell Tiger fans?

I have a birthmark on my ankle that is the number 80.
