Getting to know Britani Hathorn

Why did you choose Tennessee State?

I chose Tennessee State because they have a good, loving volleyball program that accepted me and my son. They help me out a lot so I can be a mother and student-athlete.

How has your summer been preparing for your first season on the court with the Tigers?

This summer I was taking summer school classes and just making sure that I got into the gym everyday working out and playing as much volleyball as I could.

What are you looking forward to most this season?

I'm looking forward to having a team that has a really good connection where we stay strong and work together to reach our goal which is to GET THAT RING.

What can Tiger fans expect to see from you on the court?

They can expect a lot of digs, some great passes and a lot of passion that I show while I play.

What do you do to get ready for a match?

I mentally focus, I pray and I just always try to stay up beat and have fun.

What is your favorite volleyball moment of your career up to this point?

My favorite volleyball moment is when my College of Southern Idaho junior college won the national championship.

What do you enjoy doing outside of volleyball?

I love to be with my son and hang out with him, my son is my world and when I am not at volleyball I make sure to spend that quality time with him.

What is something unique about yourself that you can tell Tiger fans?

I don't know.???? I have a big and loving heart.
