2011 Volleyball Schedule

Nashville --- The 2011 Tennessee State University volleyball schedule has been released announced head coach Kathy Roulhac.

The Tigers will kick-off the 2011 campaign when they face South Carolina State, host Clemson and Loyola-Maryland in the Big Orange Bash tournament, August 26-27.

TSU will continue tournament action the following weekend at the Bear Brawl, hosted by Mercer University. The Tigers will match up with Norfolk University in the opener before facing the tournament host, Mercer. On Saturday, TSU will take on Troy State University.

Later in September, the Tigers will embark on a Kentucky road swing in which they will play Western Kentucky (Sept.13), Morehead State (Sept.16) and Eastern Kentucky (Sept.17).

The official home opening weekend will welcome SIU Edwardsville (Friday, Sept.23) and Eastern Illinois (Saturday, Sept.24) to Kean Hall.

The Tigers will return to the road to face Tennessee Tech (9/30) and Jacksonville State (10/1) before a three-game home stint. TSU will take on Morehead on Monday, Oct. 3 before weekend games against Murray State (10/7) and Southeast Missouri (10/8).

Ohio Valley Conference games will continue through October with match-ups against Austin Peay (10/11), UT Martin (10/15), Eastern Kentucky (10/17), Eastern Illinois (10/21), SIU Edwardsville (10/22), Jacksonville State (10/28) and Tennessee Tech (10/29).

Tennessee State will host non-conference opponent Lipscomb on Nov.1 before returning to OVC action on Nov.4 against Austin Peay.

The Tigers will close out the regular season schedule on the road with contests at UT Martin (11/8), Murray State (11/11) and (11/12).

The Ohio Valley Conference Tournament is scheduled to begin Thursday, November 17.
