NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State's volleyball team continues its quest for its first-ever Ohio Valley Conference regular season title as the Lady Tigers begins a two-match regular season homestand Wednesday night against Austin Peay. Along with the 7 p.m. match against the Lady Govs (9-19 overall, 5-9 OVC), TSU will host Tennessee-Martin on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Kean Hall on Senior Day. TSU begins the week at 20-10 overall and sharing the OVC leadership with Eastern Kentucky at 12-2. The Lady Tigers will look to playing in the confines of Kean Hall to make the final push toward the title. TSU is unbeaten in nine matches at home this season under the direction of second-year head coach Kathy Roulhac who has led the turnaround this season. The Lady Tigers lead the OVC in service aces, averaging 2.04 per game while Tiana Maua is the individual leader at 0.58. The Lady Tigers also lead the OVC in opponents hitting percentage. Opponents are hitting .151 against TSU. Meesha Jackson is second in the OVC in blocks at 1.18 per game. Kelly Smith is fifth in hitting percentage at .312 while Katrelle Armwood is fourth in digs at 4.92 per game. Eastern Illinois is set to host the 2005 OVC Tournament Nov. 18-19 in Charleston, Ill.
