RICHMOND, Ky. --- Tennessee State's record 11-match Ohio Valley Conference winning streak came to a halt Thursday night as host Eastern Kentucky recorded a 3-0 sweep over the Lady Tigers. TSU, which had not lost in the league since opening OVC slate at Jacksonville State on Sept. 23, was defeated 30-28, 30-18, and 30-23. The loss drops TSU to 19-10 and 11-2 and into a share of first place in the conference race. The Lady Tigers led early in the opening game and the game was tied at 28-28 when EKU scored the final two points to register the win. The Lady Tigers saw EKU hit .482 in the second game. The Lady Tigers were tied with EKU 18-18, but a four-point run keyed the way for the Lady Colonels as TSU could pull closer than to within three points the rest of the way. Kelly Davis led the Lady Tigers with 14 kills while Kara Keifer added a team-high 13 digs. TSU continues its two-game swing Friday at Morehead State.
