NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State volleyball team (2-8, 0-0 OVC) was unable to stop red-hot Western Kentucky (8-0) on Tuesday night in Kean Hall. The Hilltoppers overtook the Lady Tigers, 3-0.
Western Kentucky started out strong in the opening game and never let Tennessee State get close enough to strike, taking the game, 30-14. Hilltopper Lyndsey Broerman led the way with six kills. She would finish the night with 10.
Games two and three saw the Lady Tigers' offensive effort ground to a halt, collecting only 27 combined points. Western Kentucky finished out the match with game scores of 30-9 and 30-18, respectively.

Paso, Texas) led Tennessee State, hitting .444 with five kills and one dig. Classmate Jennifer Washington (East Pointe, Ga.) notched a team-leading five digs.
The Lady Tigers return to action as they travel across town to battle in-town rival Trevecca on Thursday, September 16. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
