CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tennessee State volleyball team resumed Ohio Valley Conference competition Thursday night with a tough contest at Austin Peay State University. TSU fought hard as the host Lady Govs claimed victory in a three-game set (30-17, 30-21, and 30-22) inside the Dunn Athletic Center. Freshman outside hitter Jade Cabell recorded a match high .545 hitting percentage for the Lady Tigers. APSU's Amy Walk led the Govs with a .520 hitting percentage while collecting 15 kills and 14 digs. Julie Burkhalter and Sarah Schramka also added 15 kills each for Austin Peay. Tennessee State falls to 12-12 overall and 0-7 in conference action. The Lady Tigers continue OVC play on Sunday when they host the Golden Eagles of Tennessee Tech. Game-time is set for 2 p.m. inside Kean Hall. Austin Peay improves to 8-15 overall and 4-7 in the conference. The Lady Govs entertain Tennessee Tech Friday night at 7 p.m.
