NASHVILLE --- The Lady Tigers tallied a season high .410 hitting percentage to claim a third straight match in non-conference volleyball action Saturday afternoon at Fisk University. Tennessee State needed just under an hour to complete the second tilt of a Saturday doubleheader. The host Bulldogs were no match for TSU as the Tigers rolled to a 30-12, 30-10, 30-10 decision. Earlier in the day, Alabama State fell victim to Tennessee State with a three-game set at Kean Hall. Junior outside hitter Jennifer Corral led the offensive assault with 14 kills and seven service aces posting a .522 hitting percentage. Freshman outside hitter Jade Cabell added 10 kills and a match high .571 hitting percentage. Sophomore outside hitter Jennifer Washington chipped in eight service aces as well. Tennessee State will look to extend their three-game winning streak as they resume Ohio Valley Conference play Thursday night at Austin Peay. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Dunn Athletic Center on the campus of APSU.
