NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State volleyball team dropped a tough four-game set to a visiting Eastern Kentucky in the Lady Tigers third Ohio Valley Conference contest of the season. Eastern Kentucky defeated TSU 29-31, 30-23, 30-27, and 30-24. EKU improves to 6-8 and 4-3 while TSU is now 9-8 and 0-3. The Lady Tigers’ were led by Jennifer Corral with 20 kills and a .167 hitting percentage while teammate Catherine Armwood recorded 14 kills with a .139 hitting percentage. Eastern Kentucky had an overall hitting percentage of .187. Marisa Kawa led the Lady Colonels with 15 kills and .394 hitting percentage. Lesley Aldridge added 12 kills while Becky Galati and Liz Guard collected eleven and ten kills, respectively. TSU closes out a three-game homestand with Morehead State tomorrow and Eastern Kentucky is scheduled to start a three-game homestand next week.
