TSU will return to Ohio Valley Conference play after hosting Alabama A&M for a midweek double header. The twin bill versus Eastern Kentucky at Tiger Field is the beginning of an eight game conference slate in a period of nine days. The Tigers enter the weekend one game out of the final spot for the OVC tournament with three weeks to play.
The Big Blue exploded for 19 runs on 18 hits against the Bulldogs and look to continue their offensive success against EKU. Junior Reese Weber led the attack with four hits, as she increased her season average to .346. Sophomore Bri Vire continues to top the lineup hitting at a .372 clip. Junior Sarah Snell is currently on a seven game hit streak and has reached base successfully in 16 consecutive games. Snell earned her 65th career walk on Tuesday evening which tied her with Brittany Webb (2008-11) for the most base on balls in TSU history.
