TSU will take a break from Ohio Valley Conference play to host Alabama A&M for a double header at Tiger Field.

The Blig Blue earned its first OVC win of the season with an eighth inning win at Murray State. Sarah Snell delivered the blow with an RBI single that brought home Kierra Ware for the 2-1 victory. Snell opened the week with her first career triple against Middle Tennessee and capped off the week with a pair of home runs at Austin Peay. The junior also climbed into third of the TSU career assist leaderboard, passing Tamara Perkins (2007-10, 252) and Tracey Bonner (1998-01, 259). Snell, at 260, is 23 away from Brittany Webb (2008-11) who finished her career with 283. Katie Schneider has also jumped into the TSU career record book with 407 put outs. The sophomore leaped over Dee Miller (2011-14, 393) and Perkins (388) after knocking Kate Morris (2012-15, 375) out of the top 10.
