TSU will step out of Ohio Valley Conference play for a single contest versus Middle Tennessee. The Tigers will return to OVC play after the game against the Blue Raiders.

Tennessee State finished 0-4 during the opening weekend of OVC play. Senior Erica O'Kane led the Big Blue going 4-for-11 (.364) with a double and a walk. Reese Weber finished 3-for-9 (.333) with a walk and was hit by pitch twice for a .500 on base percentage. Bri Vire continues to lead TSU with a .405 average after going 4-for-13 at the plate this weekend with two doubles and two runs scored. The pitching staff of Raven Loveless, Katie Schneider and Jessina Espinoza received added help this weekend as junior Tori Hart and freshman Kennedy McCurry saw action for the first time this season. Hart and McCurry have been shelved due to injuries suffered in preseason camp.
